6 hours sleep que me cayeron de maravilla…

luckily the next game was also in joburg but in the Ellis Park stadium instead of the Soccer city one of the night before…this is only stadium that wasn’t built for the WC and is more famously known for being the stadium where the 1995 rugby world cup final was held …you can see it in invictus…

this day i started realizing the deep parallels between Joburg and DF…los dos estan como a 1700 metros arriba del nivel del mar…la casa donde nos estamos quedando es como estar en el Pedregal…sales manejando y en como tres minutos es como si estuvieras en santa fe… jamas ves un blanco caminando por las calles…ni siquera en las colonias nice…

anyway, back to soccer (a lo que venimos)…the second game was argentina vs. nigeria…in ellis park…the stadium is in a nasty neighborhood and the stadium butts up against the buildings surrounding it… when argentina scored the first goal, everyone thought it was going to be a blowout….pero los nigerianos se compusieron y quedo 1-0…lo mas cagado del juego es que los argentinos no cantan la letra de su himno…nada mas gritan “lo lo lo lo” a la melodia…yo creo que son demasiados pendejos para memorizarselos…

left there around 3am…
